With laced sneakers and numbers stuck on their chests, the community completed another successful Lindfield Fun Run.

Held annually by the Rotary Club of Ku-ring-gai, the Lindfield Fun Run is an opportunity to support local initiatives, bring the community closer, and get a refreshing sweat on.

With various length options for the run, whether it be two kilometres, five kilometres, or ten kilometres, runners, walkers, and families with children and strollers gathered together on Sunday the 19th of May 2024.

Male winner of the 2km run is Lachlan Kidd, female winner of the 2km run is Zoe Wallace. Male winner of the 5km run is Walter Boehme, female winner of the 5km run is Scarlett Clark. Male winner of the 10km run is Oliver Lawler, female winner of the 10km run is Marlena Olive.

Around 2,000 community members attended the event, stretching their legs and breathing in fresh air and the smell of a sausage sizzle. Participants crowded the streets between the Pacific Highway and Archbold Road before enjoying activities on the newly renovated Roseville Oval.

All proceeds made from the Lindfield Fun Run are donated to local charities and causes.

Ku-ring-gai Youth Development Service (KYDS), the charity tackling and supporting youth mental health, receives 50% of all donations. The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter, the not-for-profit aiding women and children in crisis, receives 25% of all proceeds. All other funds gathered through the annual Lindfield Fun Run are given to other initiatives that the Rotary Club of Ku-ring-gai support.

Rotary is a not-for-profit club that brings men and women across Ku-ring-gai together to make a difference for the local community. Rotary have over 35,000 clubs worldwide intimately involved with bettering the lives of their neighbours through activities, charity events, and networking.

As a Gold Sponsor for the event, The Post are proud of the efforts of community members breaking a sweat and raising funds for essential services.
