Applications are now open for community grants in Ku-ring-gai.
Grants include up to $5,000 for arts and cultural activities, events or programs; up to $5,000 for community development projects that enhance the social and economic wellbeing of residents’ and up to $2,000 for small equipment and tools.
‘These groups are the lifeblood of Ku-ring-gai, contributing so much to the community – often on very limited budgets,’ says Mayor Christine Kay. ‘Council is proud to support their efforts through our annual Community Grants program.’
Last year’s round of grants saw sporting clubs, preschools, and churches install debrilliators on site. Projects including vocational training for those with disability, domestic violence awareness campaigns, musicals, and seniors events, among others, were able to come to life through the Community Grants program.
To help community organisations prepare their grant applications, Council is holding an information workshop on Friday 11 April, from 10:30am – 12pm, at the Council Chambers, 818 Pacific Highway, Gordon.
Applications close on 9 May 2025.
