Grants available for projects supporting veterans in Ku-ring-gai

KU-RING-GAI groups can apply for $2,000 grants for projects supporting local veterans or boosting awareness of their role throughout Australia’s military history.

Alister Henskens SC MP said applications are now open for the Anzac Community Grants Program and urged local organisations to apply for funding.

“Veterans past and present served to keep us safe and this is a great chance to recognise their sacrifices, while enriching our communities,” Mr Henskens said.

“We’re seeking projects that not only recognise the important service of our veterans but also educate future generations about their sacrifices.”

Grants cover four categories: local community historical research and education; preservation or display of war memorabilia; public commemorative events, arts and culture; and support to members of the NSW veteran community.

Eligible for individuals and not-for-profit organisations including local government authorities, non-government organisations, ex-service organisations and educational institutions.

Applications can be submitted online until 5pm on 11 November 2021: veterans.nsw.gov.au/commemoration/anzac-community-grants-program
