Support Local Businesses and Get Back to Pre-Lockdown Fitness

WITH the most recent lockdown prohibiting group exercise activities, many local gyms around the Ku-Ring-Gai area were forced to temporarily stop business. However, with restrictions lifting, gym owners are keen on getting back into the thick of things.

Owner of Evolution Jujutsu in Lindfield, Nick Davies, says he’s enjoyed seeing the sense of community back in his gym.

“Returning from lockdown has really demonstrated how much of a caring and supportive community Evolution Jujutsu has”, he said. “Simply seeing, training and catching up with everyone has been incredible.”

Gym owners around NSW were forced to come up with alternative ways to conduct their sessions. Like many others, the lockdown had harsh consequences on Davies’ business.

“During the lockdowns we were unable to continue training at a face-to-face capacity. We were forced to adapt, and we conducted online training via video conferencing. While not without its challenges, we had a great group of members who made the most of it and continued to sharpen their skills.”

Catering for a wide range of age groups, Evolution Jujutsu is one of many local businesses that need your support.

“Everyone that comes through the doors at Evolution Jujutsu should expect, first and foremost a safe and supportive training environment. We have a committed group of instructors that enjoy passing on their skills.”

“We find many students that start training enjoy it so much they take on the challenge of working through our leadership program, building the confidence and skills necessary to take on leadership roles and then onto becoming Black Belts and instructors. Learning to defend yourself, family and friends is an incredible journey that can change your life in many positive ways.”
