THE electorate of Ku-ring-gai has secured $400,000 in funding for a total of 20 projects through the NSW Government’s 2021 Community Building Partnership Program.
Member for Ku-ring-gai, Alister Henskens SC MP said the State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including upgrades to schools, sporting organisations and community organisations.
“This is fantastic news for Ku-ring-gai. This grassroots funding will directly help create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social and recreational outcomes,” Mr Henskens said.
The full list of successful projects in the Ku-ring-gai electorate for the 2021 round are:
- Normanhurst Boys High School P&C Association sports field rejuvenation – $22,000
- North Turramurra Girl Guides hall building works – $23,474
- St John Ambulance Australia mobile Ku-ring-gai van – $50,003
- Killara Public School P&C Association outdoor court sun shade – $30,000
- Ku-ring-gai Stealers Baseball League Inc batting cage flooring – $29,084
- St Leo’s Catholic College shade sails – $39,787
- North Turramurra Scouts hall refurbishment – $11,660
- Prouille Catholic Primary School outdoor learning and enquiry space – $5,000
- KU West Pymble intercom system installation – $5,000
- Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Catholic Primary School West Pymble outdoor learning hub refurbishment – $5,000
- Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) freestanding fans – $7,850
- Warrawee Bowling Club accessible and female amenities – $25,000
- Turramurra High School P&C Association canteen upgrade, purchase of commercial appliances – $25,000
- Normanhurst Girl Guides hall building works – $34,100
- Pymble Turramurra Preschool playground refurbishment – $10,560
- The North Shore Sikh Association of Sydney Inc upgrade toilets, accessible facilities – $40,000
- StreetWork Australia Ltd purchase of equipment for Changing Focus photography program – $7,500
- Kissing Point Rovers Scouts hall and ANZAC Ceremony PA system – $5,991
- Wahroonga Rugby Club sporting equipment storage container – $8,510
- Gordon Golf Club Ltd interior upgrade – $14,481
The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 16,000 community projects since it commenced in 2009.
In 2022, there is $400,000 to allocate in each electorate. Applications for the 2022 Program open in early 2022.
