Wahroonga Estate Master Plan Appoints DASCO For $1.5B Build

Capital Corporation partners with top-rated builder DASCO to deliver the first stage of the Wahroonga Estate transformation.

I had the pleasure of attending the recent announcement where Capital Corporation officially appointed multi-award-winning builder DASCO to construct the first stage of The Residences at Wahroonga Estate.

Representing the largest master plan on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, this ambitious $1.5 billion transformation spans 31.4 hectares surrounding Sydney Adventist Hospital (The San).

In Short

  • Capital Corporation has officially appointed 4.5-star iCIRT-rated builder DASCO to construct Stage 1 of The Residences at Wahroonga Estate.
  • The $1.5 billion master plan covers 31.4 hectares surrounding Sydney Adventist Hospital, with initial apartment sales already exceeding $90 million.
  • Groundbreaking on the first 128 luxury homes will commence in the coming months, with targeted completion set for late 2027.

The initial release of 128 luxury apartments has already generated over $90 million in sales, with local downsizers, professionals, and families snapping up two-thirds of the homes.

This marks the first partnership between Capital Corporation and DASCO – two industry powerhouses that each bring three decades of experience and a combined track record of over 10,000 completed dwellings. Capital Corporation Managing Director Jim Hunter shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasising DASCO’s outstanding reputation.

“Their commitment to quality and long-term community trust mirrors our own approach,” Hunter noted. “The Residences at Wahroonga Estate will be a luxury landmark development, and we’re confident DASCO will help bring it to life with the highest standards of workmanship.”

DASCO Director and Owner Daniel Nicolas echoed that vision, stating the team is eager to raise the bar for residential living on the North Shore. Holding a 4.5-star iCIRT rating—the highest awarded to a private builder in Australia – DASCO brings serious credentials to what will be its largest Upper North Shore build to date.

The broader master plan has already expanded The San to 90,000m² and delivered a new high school, retail spaces, medical suites, and key worker housing. Groundbreaking on these first 128 residential units will commence in the coming months, with completion targeted for late 2027.
