Hornsby Commuter Carpark

Additional car parking spaces are one step closer for Hornsby commuters, as a construction contract was awarded for the Hornsby Commuter Carpark.

The carpark which will be located on the former Hornsby TAFE site on Jersey Street, is part of the NSW Government’s Commuter Car Park Program and will deliver around 140 additional parking spaces.

This new parking will go a long way to reducing congestion and easing parking pressure for commuters in Hornsby and I look forward to seeing this important project continue to progress.

Good news for Families

Families with young children will have better access to early childhood education after the NSW Government committed $280 million and secured an additional $560 million of new funding from the Federal Government.

NSW is the first state to sign on to the new National Preschool Reform Agreement, which will provide long term funding certainty to the early childhood education sector through a four-year funding deal to replace the previous Universal Access National Partnership.

This agreement will ensure all young children will have access to quality preschool options and are better prepared for their first year of school.
