Managing Your Mood Group for Adolescents Now in Hornsby!

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney (Lifeline H2HS) is now offering supportive groups for young people in Hornsby.

The Managing Your Mood Adolescent Groups are Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT) informed skills groups for adolescents aged 14 to 18. These groups provide a safe space for young people to develop skills in managing difficult emotions. Participants will learn valuable techniques in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Held at two locations, sessions commence in February on Tuesdays 5-7pm in Brookvale and on Wednesdays 5-7pm in Hornsby. Each group module runs for 8 weeks.

Participants should live, work, or study in the Northern Sydney region. Before a place in the group can be confirmed, participants must have a PHN Mental Health Triage referral form plus a Mental Health Treatment Plan submitted by their GP to the PHN for processing.

Lifeline H2HS also runs Managing Your Mood groups for adults at Gordon and Seaforth, as well as for 18 to 25-year-olds at Chatswood.

Managing Your Mood is funded by Sydney North Primary Health Network.
