Migraine and Headache Awareness Month is held in June

MIGRAINE is a debilitating, complex neurological disorder.

Though similar to a headache, migraines involve other symptoms including nausea, light and sound sensitivity, vision interferences, and numbness.

Nearly 5 million Australians suffer from a migraine condition. Of these Australians, 71% are women, and 86% are of working age. According to Headache Australia, the economic cost of migraine in Australia amounts to over $35 billion.
