Forum in Ku-ring-gai for International Women’s Day

With International Women’s Day approaching, Ku-ring-gai Council have announced a forum on Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality.

The event will be held on the 6th of March at the Killara Golf Club and is set to celebrate the achievements and acknowledge the challenges of women across our wider community and the globe. This year’s theme for IWD is “Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment”.

Council is hosting two keynote speakers for the forum. President of the National Council of Women, Chiou See Anderson, will be discussing barriers that impact economic equality among the sexes. Dr. Mihajla Gavin from the University of Technology Sydney has expertise to share regarding education, gender, employees, and work.

Interactive and dynamic, Council encourages open dialogue at the forum to challenge the status quo and empower women. The event provides attendees with the opportunity to network and connect with members of the local community.
