Liberal Gisele Kapterian has withdrawn her legal claim to the federal seat of Bradfield.
After a razor thin margin in the 2025 Federal Election, the LNP decided to contest the ruling for Bradfield which saw independent Nicolette Boele named the winner.
This involved taking the case to the Court of Disputed Returns, and re-examining the results. A probable by-election would have been declared, meaning Bradfield’s residents would have had to go back to the voting booth to settle the matter. The LNP and Gisele Kapterian have instead made the decision to no longer pursue the matter.
Independent Nicolette Boele is officially the undisputed Member for Bradfield.
