The Hornsby Relay for Life (HRFL) committee are celebrating a double achievement this year, one for its 20th anniversary and two for raising above their 2024 target of $110,000. The current amount raised for the Cancer Council NSW is $119,116. The committee would like to thank each participant for each lap that was walked, and dollar raised, plus thank all the sponsors involved, which without the event could not go ahead.
Last year, the HRFL committee created an award called the Gemma Crawley Memorial Award to celebrate a cancer survivor who lives beyond the relay and inspires others to live their best life. This year the award winners were Nicola MacGee, and Ruth Swadling.
It takes twelve months for the committee to put on such an event. If you wish to join the 2025 committee, please contact Jack Jackson at [email protected]
The HRFL committee invite you to join them for a wrap up party, a special exclusive screening of Moana 2 at Event Cinemas Hornsby on Sunday 8 December at 10am, hosted by Hornsby Relay for Life in collaboration with Hornsby Event Cinema.
