CANDIDATES who are considering a run for Northern Beaches Council are being welcomed by Council to attend an information session.
On Thursday the 27th of June, potential candidates for the upcoming September local elections will be given insight into what serving on council entails, details on the role of councillors, and information of how to register and being the candidacy process. This session will allow residents interested in becoming a councillor to ask and receive answers to various questions.
Northern Beaches Council is made up of five wards – Pittwater, Frenchs Forest, Manly, Curl Curl, and Narrabeen. For each ward, three councillors are elected, equating to fifteen councillors including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Councillors serve a four-year term.
Local Government Elections will be held for Northern Beaches Council on Saturday the 14th of September 2024.
This information session for candidacy will be held at the Civic Centre, Dee Why at 6pm. Registrations for the event are compulsory.
