We’re launching a brand-new local business forum ‘The Junction’ and we’d love you to join us for a coffee.
The Junction is about bringing together small business owners from across Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai for practical conversations, trusted connections, and curated monthly topics that actually help your business grow. This isn’t networking for networking’s sake – it’s real value, real insight, and relationships that last.
Each session will feature the right guest speakers and focused discussions, with events ticketed via Humanitix to keep things purposeful and high-quality.
The meet-ups will be hosted by two people who genuinely know the local business landscape: Tina Brown and Tim Mitchell. They’re out in the community every day – talking with established business owners, entrepreneurs, side-hustlers, and first-timers – asking the questions that matter and sharing the lessons many of us have learned the hard way.
If you run a business locally and want to grow, connect, and learn alongside people who get it, this is for you.
Grab a coffee with us and be part of the launch.

The Post Story
Community in business isn’t just about contacts, it’s about belonging. When you feel supported, your confidence grows, conversations become easier, and you realise you’re not carrying everything on your own.
That sense of connection can make a real difference to your mental health, especially in the tougher seasons.
I know this firsthand. The Post newsmagazine was born during Covid, and starting it on my own was incredibly hard.
Over time, I found a community of like-minded people right here locally – but I was still searching for something more and I took the time to attend a range of different networking events across Sydney, including 7 am starts in the Botanic Gardens!
Through connecting with not-for-profits, charities, and other women starting out, I expected to find business contacts. Instead, I found a whole tribe of wonderful people from all different backgrounds and professions.
These are people who’ve supported me, challenged me, and stood beside me in ways I never imagined. Many have become close friends and trusted confidants.
Even if you’re someone who usually goes it alone, I’d encourage you to take an hour out and come along.
You never know who you might meet – and I’d truly love to see you there!
Tina
