In early April, two members of the Pennant Hills Garden Club invited fellow Club members to visit and enjoy their gardens.
It was a pleasant autumn day with members wandering around the gardens before finding some seats in the sun and enjoying the views.
The first garden was lush and colourful with established trees and a very large monstera with under plantings of coleus and mandevillas—to name just two. Everywhere you looked there was a treasure to see and, sometimes, envy. We all then gathered under the pergola and had morning tea. It was hard to limit yourself to just one piece of cake. Many members commented on the almost hidden sign stating what would happen to trespassers.
The second garden was equally colourful, again with established trees and many large salvias. Everywhere you looked there was something different to see. Whilst at this time of year there was not a lot of flowers, the owner set up a slide show so members could see the plants in flower.
Pennant Hills Garden Club meets at Pennant Hills Community Centre 9.30am, 4th Wednesday of the month.
