WILLOUGHBY City Council’s Chief Executive Officer has retired.
Debra Just announced her retirement in February 2024, ending her nine year tenure as Council’s CEO. Having served on councils across New South Wales and South Australia, Debra is retiring from a 25 year career with Local Government and various state agencies.
After the 1st of March, Debra will be returning to Adelaide to be with family.
‘I am incredibly proud of the transformational change that has been implemented during my time here,’ says Debra Just. ‘This is no perfect time to retire but personally, this is the right time for me to return to my family and friends in Adelaide.’
Willoughby City Council Mayor Tanya Taylor thanked Debra Just for her service to the community and to Council.
‘I have valued Debra’s leadership, strategic approach and that she doesn’t shy away from the complex and challenging. She is highly respected by her local government peers,’ says Mayor Taylor. ‘I appreciate that she now needs to focus on her family and I would like to thank her for all she has done to benefit the Willoughby community.’
