Local businesses, community organisations and individuals are invited to come together for one of the North Shore’s most anticipated community events.
Community Pitch 2026 will be held on Tuesday 25 August from 6.00pm to 9.00pm at Magpies Waitara.
It’s an evening for people who care about this region and want to see their support go directly to the causes that need it most.
Now in its sixth year, Community Pitch has become a genuine fixture on the local calendar, distributing more than $320,000 to grassroots charities and community organisations since it began. At the most recent event in August 2025, $89,500 was distributed to ten local organisations thanks to the generosity of local businesses, community groups and individual Pitch Partners.
How It Works
Hosted by Community Bank Lindfield, Community Pitch offers a unique approach to community giving. Think Shark Tank, but instead of investors chasing profits, the room is full of local businesses and community-minded people looking to create positive change.
Ten carefully selected community organisations each have three minutes to pitch their project, program or initiative to the audience. At the end of the presentations, Pitch Partners decide where their pledged funds go – creating direct, immediate impact for local causes.
To get the event underway, Community Bank Lindfield has committed $30,000 to the funding pool.
Every year we are inspired by the organisations that present and the Pitch Partners who step forward to support them

More Than Fundraising
The evening is also a genuine networking opportunity, bringing together business leaders, community organisations and individuals who share a commitment to this community. Attendees have the chance to make new connections, explore partnerships and learn more about the work being done by local charities and not-for-profits.
Community Bank Lindfield Community Development Manager Sharon Franke said the event never fails to leave an impression.
“Community Pitch continues to demonstrate the generosity and community spirit that exists across the region. Every year we are inspired by the organisations that present and the Pitch Partners who step forward to support them. It creates a unique opportunity for businesses and individuals to see firsthand the difference their contribution can make.”
