The Emporium

The Post is the trusted, independent voice for the North Shore and Northern Beaches communities. We are dedicated to delivering in-depth hyperlocal news across Sydney’s Upper North Shore. Whether it is holding local councils accountable, exploring real estate and business trends, or celebrating local arts, sports, and school milestones, we cover the full spectrum of local life.

Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when over 200 newsrooms shuttered across the country - Tina Brown established the publication (originally known as the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Post) to provide one reliable source of truth. We ensure our community never has to scour multiple Facebook groups just to find out what is happening in their own backyard.

The Post respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters across Sydney's North Shore and Northern Beaches. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and celebrate the ongoing connections of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country.
