Willoughby City Council welcomes the 2026 Year of the Horse with one of Sydney’s largest Lunar New Year celebrations.

From 10am to 9pm on Saturday 21 February and 10am to 6pm on Sunday 22 February, Victoria Avenue in Chatswood will host more than 130 food and market stalls.

Two full days of outdoor entertainment, including traditional Asian music and modern pop performances. A lion dance performance on Anderson Street, entertainers throughout Chatswood Mall and near Archer Street, and pony rides, a jumping castle near Charlotte Lane, and a fortune booth offering prizes.

The Post is the trusted, independent voice for the North Shore and Northern Beaches communities. We are dedicated to delivering in-depth hyperlocal news across Sydney’s Upper North Shore. Whether it is holding local councils accountable, exploring real estate and business trends, or celebrating local arts, sports, and school milestones, we cover the full spectrum of local life.

Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when over 200 newsrooms shuttered across the country - Tina Brown established the publication (originally known as the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Post) to provide one reliable source of truth. We ensure our community never has to scour multiple Facebook groups just to find out what is happening in their own backyard.

We only collect personal information, such as your email or contact details, to provide you with our hyperlocal news and advertising services. We do not sell your data to third parties.
