Hornsby Shire residents are being invited to explore the region’s natural beauty with council’s autumn program of free guided bushwalks.
Designed to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable outdoor experience. Each walk is led by knowledgeable guides who share insights into the area’s rich natural landscapes and cultural history for a deeper appreciation of the Bushland Shire.
This autumn’s line-up includes:
- The Blue Gum Walk in Hornsby on 1 March.
- The Parks Week Walk – Caring for Nature in Beecroft and Cheltenham on 6 March.
- The Whale Rock Bushwalk in Pennant Hills on 14 March.
- The Jerusalem Bay Bushwalk in Cowan on 11 April.
- A Youth Week Walk from Thornleigh to Hornsby via the Great North Walk on 19 April.
The walks are exclusively available to Hornsby Shire residents, with the exception of the Youth Week event, which is open to young people aged 16 to 24 from any council area.
