It’s always inspiring to see Bradfield in action. This past month, I’ve especially enjoyed celebrating the graduating year 12 classes of 2025 across our electorate—marking the hard work, resilience, and promise of our young people.
In recent weeks, I’ve spoken at the Hong Konger Street Market, hosted a morning tea for local winners of the 2025 Stronger Community Grant, and celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with our vibrant multicultural communities. These moments remind me why Bradfield’s spirit is so special.
In Parliament, I’ve continued pushing for stronger online gambling reform—because behind every statistic is a person, a family, a community carrying the weight of gambling harm. We can and must do better to protect Australians from an industry that profits from vulnerability.
I also met inspiring young people who took part in the Raising Our Voices campaign, submitting powerful speeches about the future they want to see. I am looking forward to reading one of those speeches in Parliament on behalf of a young constituent.
Finally, I’m excited to launch a four-part community conversation series unpacking the Treasurer’s Economic Roundtable—bringing big national debates from Canberra home to Bradfield:
- From Buzzword to Real World: Productivity Unpacked (held before publication)
- Should EV Owners Pay a Road-User Charge? (held before publication)
- How the National Construction Code Shapes Housing: Speed vs. Standards
- Climate, Conservation, and Construction: Understanding the EPBC
Too often, these discussions stay in policy circles or the press. We’re opening them up to make space for people to ask questions, share experiences, and connect economic reform to everyday life.
Places are limited—RSVP now via my website and be part of the conversation.
See you out there,
Nicolette
