Dating Disasters

– Is It Them or Is It Me?

Dating Disasters

Man giving a like to photo on social media or swiping on online dating app. Finger pushing heart icon on screen in smartphone application. Friend, follower or fan liking picture of a beautiful woman.

When unexpected things happen in our modern lives help is always just around the corner.

When your car breaks down an NRMA man will be there in a flash. If your cat is stuck in a tree those friendly Hornsby Firefighters in truck 050 can recover that wayward feline.

But when you’re on a first date and it starts to go badly you may as well be stranded in the Simpson Desert, no one is coming to your rescue. You can’t call your relationship counsellor to suddenly appear and help you get things back on track. When it comes to dating it’s a lot of trial and plenty of error.

Almost a quarter of Australian’s report being emotionally lonely while more than 38% have experienced a breakup which means a lot more of us are actively dating, so how come we aren’t finding the perfect match on date one and living happily ever after just like they do in Hollywood?

If you’ve been on 20 or even 100 first dates which always end the same way – you going home alone again and complaining to your dog – is the problem with all the people you’re dating or could it just be you?

There’s an easier way than dating, dating, dating and hoping eventually your luck will change and you’ll find the one, your one. But and it’s a big BUT it means being willing to look at yourself and maybe even trying a different approach.

Dating and finding love, it’s really hard.

While Straight Talk Australia Counselling can’t come along on your date, we have developed the next best thing a free, downloadable dating guide.

If you’re ready to try dating differently we’ll help you improve your search for love.
