Launched in 2022 with the help of a NSW Government grant, originally the Hello Hornsby program focused on inspiring inclusivity for residents aged 60 and up.
Since then, with the help of a special rate variation, Hello Hornsby has expanded to cater for youth, families, and individuals living with a disability.
Wednesday 1 October and Wednesday 8 October Pizza Pop Up events will be held at Galston Skate Park and Berowra Skate Park, respectively, as part of Mental Health Month.
During Carers Week, morning teas will be hosted at The Brook Eatery at Cherrybrook Shopping Village Tuesday 14 October. Another special morning tea for people living with dementia and their carers is set on Friday 17 October at Hornsby Library.
HSC students can enjoy an afternoon tea on Wednesday 22 October at Hornsby Library. It is a chance to rest, regroup, and reconnect with friends during the high-stress time.
Grandparents and their grandchildren are invited to the Koala Park on Sunday 26 October for Grandparents Day. Free tickets are available, though spots are limited.
