A new app for waste collection is available for Ku-ring-gai locals.
Residents can download the “Your Waste” app to easily access their bin collection calendar from their smartphones. Inside the app are several features, including personalised bin schedules; the ability to set bin night reminders; notifications for any changes like disruption to service; waste guides; proper sorting practices for recycling, general waste, and green waste bins; and maps for drop-off locations that accept used goods.
‘Our research shows that most people are now accessing information about Council services through their phone,’ says Mayor Christine Kay. ‘Your Waste is a convenient and easy way to get important information about what’s happening with waste services.’
“Your Waste” is available for iPhone and Android phones, found in the Apple or Google app stores.
