Sun Run returns for its 16th year

The Northern Beaches Sun Run returns for its 16th year on Saturday, 31 January. Spanning from Dee Why to Manly Beach, the course is open for participants of all fitness levels and abilities.

The 10km race starts at 6.30am, followed by the 7km at 7.30am.

‘Sun Run is a highlight on the Northern Beaches calendar,’ Mayor Sue Heins said. ‘It’s more than just a race—it’s a celebration of community, fitness and the stunning natural beauty of our coastline. The popular event has sold out for the past three years.’

Organisers aim to raise $100,000 for charities across Australia in 2026. Sun Run is produced by Northern Beaches Council and proudly supported by event partners The Athlete’s Foot, Optus, Harbord Diggers, Muscle Republic, Harris Farm Markets and Remedy Sodaly.

‘We’re proud to deliver such an inclusive and uplifting event that brings people together and showcases the best of the Northern Beaches,’ Mayor Heins added.

The Sun Run is produced by Northern Beaches Council and supported by event partners The Athlete’s Foot, Optus, Harbord Diggers, Muscle Republic, Harris Farm Markets and Remedy Sodaly.
