In the 2025-26 Budget, the NSW Government has designated $9 billion for new and upgraded schools. It is a targeted investment to rebuild public education.
Some funds will be delivered to Cammeray Public School, which will receive $5.3 million for a new two-storey building with four classrooms and two activities areas, replacing the existing demountables. Builder Avium Pty Ltd is slated to commence work in mid-2025.
Northbridge Public School will receive $2.4 million for a new amenities’ building near the existing play area, and upgrades to staff amenities and the sick bay. Following more design planning, construction company Unique Building Partners will begin the upgrades.
Member for Willougby Tim James has been championing the projects, and publicly requesting for the NSW Government to award the projects funds.
‘This is a win for our local children and I thank every one who supported my calls improvements to be fast tracked including those who sign my petition in 2023 calling for this upgrade,’ said Member James.
