The holiday season is now in full swing. Each year it seems Christmas and New Years creeps up faster and faster.
It’s been an interesting and fantastic year. This is in no small part because of some personal news, I got married! Finally, after 9 years together, my husband Nick and I were married in early November. To say it was brilliant would be a dreadfully redundant understatement. Our family and friends rallied behind us and brought energy and light to our event. I’ll never forget it.
As for The Post, 2025 was an eventful year. Australia held a federal election, we saw a plethora of local events and initiatives, we covered charities, small businesses, local legends, dug into community issues across the North Shore, and heard from valued experts in their columns.
I’d like to thank Tina Brown for her continued support and encouragement for my position as editor. There is little I could achieve without her guidance. It’s a privilege to watch her advocate for her community, herself, and those she respects.
I know that 2026 will be a great year, with even more memorable moments.
But before we get too ahead of ourselves, we need to close off 2025.
Inside this edition you’ll hear from a number of columnists, some you recognise and some new faces. We have included a few holiday pages, news on the Sydney Olympic Pool and the resignation of Hornsby general manager Steven Head, a community initiative for those living with dementia, a story about a local business offering equine-assisted therapy, and an article about reviving Australian sport Trugo in Sydney.
Also, we are releasing a 2026 calendar! Keep your eyes peeled!
Every year is a blessing, and 2025 will be cherished in our memories.
