Your Voice in Canberra

'Be voice not an echo'

From my very first fortnight in Parliament House, I’ve been taking the issues you’ve shared with me straight to Canberra.

I pushed for innovative, long-term housing solutions to help families secure affordable homes, and pressed the government to deliver long overdue environmental law reforms so harmful projects like the North West Shelf gas development can’t be approved again. These solutions and reforms would protect our communities and future generations.

I also raised the issue of local post office closures—such as in Artarmon and Pymble—which are affecting residents across Bradfield. I’ve called on the government to guarantee these essential community services are supported.

Back at home, it’s been inspiring to see our community in action. I attended the Mayoral Dinner for Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai RFS, celebrating the courage and dedication of our local firefighters, and hosted pop-up offices across Bradfield, hearing directly from residents about childcare, grocery prices, and bus services. I’ve also enjoyed speaking with Year 6 students at Roseville College, welcoming new citizens at citizenship ceremonies, and recognising the tireless efforts of local volunteers at the Centre for Volunteering’s NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards (North Shore region).

Since opening our electorate office, we’ve met hundreds of residents, worked on over 500 cases ranging from NDIS and visas to housing and local infrastructure, and delivered $252,124 in funding to community groups through the Stronger Communities Program and Volunteer Grants—including a great win for Wahroonga Rugby Club, which secured federal funding for female changeroom upgrades.

As your community independent, it’s my job to bring your voice to Canberra. I’m proud to listen to a broad range of views—not a party line. If I don’t see you at a pop-up office, I’ll be at the Chatswood Street Fair on Saturday the 6th of September—come and say hi!
