Making the most from your investments

Price Financial Intelligence shares the ‘ingredients’ for a robust portfolio and how to take control of your Superannuation without an SMSF

Making the most from your investments

What does successful investing look like? Well, it’s like baking a cake, and it all comes down to the right ingredients.

The right mix of growth, controlling risk and, most of all, some reliable income.

Step 1: Gather your ingredients

Select several ASX listed managed investment funds with significant portfolios of quality investments.

Set a limit on each investment fund to spread your investments across several markets. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Ensure that your portfolio produces a satisfactory regular income with some paid monthly.

Set a realistic target return for each investment.

Track history: Your selected investments should have produced an acceptable return for at least the last 7 years.

Review how well each fund performed in a previous bear market and how quickly they recovered.

Step 2: Manage your portfolio

Conduct an annual review of your investments to ensure that your portfolio is performing as per your expectations.

Review the target return achieved for each investment and do not become emotionally attached to your portfolio.

What does Price Financial Intelligence (PFI) do to assist you to achieve financial success?

We provide the research to identify suitable investments to meet your needs in providing the right mix of growth, controlling risk and reliable income.

PFI provide the annual review of your portfolio showing the actual return on each investment and the comparison to your target return set when you invested with that ASX Listed Investment Manager.

Superannuation

Can I use the same process to select my investments with my superannuation?

The answer is YES, and you do not need to setup a Self-Managed Super Fund to do it.

At PFI, we can offer a “Client Directed Portfolio” using BT Panorama which enables you, our client, to select your own investments with returns based on your selected fund’s performance with less than a 1% fee paid to PFI plus the BT Panorama platform fee.
