Ku-ring-gai Council is hosting a free Menopause Forum on Thursday 23 October to help women better understand and manage menopause and perimenopause.
Held at the Ku-ring-gai Council Chambers in Gordon, the event will feature expert speakers covering topics such as hormone therapy, nutrition, and exercise, all aimed at improving wellbeing during this natural stage of life.
Dr Semeer Mathur, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from the Northern Sydney Local Health District’s Menopause Hub, will explain the stages of menopause and share evidence-based advice on managing symptoms. Accredited Dietitian Natalie Hooker will discuss the importance of healthy eating, while local fitness instructor Eleanor Spence will highlight how regular exercise can boost physical and emotional health.
Mayor Christine Kay said the forum reflects Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting women’s health.
“Menopause can be a challenging time, but being informed and opening up is a powerful step toward lasting change,” Mayor Kay said.
The free event runs from 5.45pm to 7.45pm at 818 Pacific Highway, Gordon. Bookings are essential.
