The Village Chef by Meals on Wheels are making big strides.
At the team’s new Hornsby site, renovations have been underway. Beginning in mid-June, projections for completion were in mid-July. While the team waited, the service was operating from the small Turramurra location, but with demand, the Village Chef needed more wiggle room.
It comes in time, as The Village Chef recently acquired the Meals on Wheels provider that had been serving the Manly area. With the acquisition, the Village Chef are expanding its reach to take on the new clientele.
‘We’re proud to become the official meal provider for clients in the former Manly LGA,’ said The Village Chef in a statement to social media. ‘While everything will feel familiar to start, we’ll soon be introducing our signatures meals.’
The Village Chef are a not-for-profit service that delivers government subsidised meals to older Australians in the Ku-ring-gai, Hornsby, and Northern Beaches regions.
