To help prevent domestic and family violence in the community and support survivors of abuse, Ku-ring-gai Council has endorsed grants of more than $91,000.
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter will receive $20,000 for its Wellbeing Hub.
Rotary Club of West Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook will receive $20,000 to partner with local rotary groups to offer bursaries and scholarships for survivors of domestic and family violence.
KYDS Youth Development Service Incorporated will receive $20,000 for the program Resilience and Empowerment: Supporting Young People and Families who have experienced Domestic Violence.
Learning Links will receive $19,780 for its Resilient Kids project that supports children aged 5-12 at Wahroonga Adventist School who have experienced domestic and family violence, abuse, grief or neglect.
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community College will receive $12,000 for program Creating Change: Community Healing and DFV Prevention Through Connection, Art and Making.
