January has flown by, and my campaign for Berowra is in full swing.
Running for election wasn’t something I had planned, and as you all know, I’m not a career politician or a party insider. It’s been a steep learning curve, diving into the many issues that matter to our community and shaping policies that reflect real concerns.
The policies I’ve developed come from my personal and business experiences right here in Berowra. They address real challenges people of all ages are facing—rising costs of living, the climate crisis, mental health support, and respect for women.
Did you know that staff at Hornsby Police Station spend 50% of their time dealing with domestic violence-related incidents? Or that one in three homes in our electorate is in a bushfire zone?
These are urgent issues, and they need real action.
My time as Publisher of The Post, my experience welcoming international students to Australia, and my role as a mother have all prepared me for this next challenge: bringing the voice of our community back to Parliament and ensuring politics is about people, not parties.
