What an unexpected, wild ride our federal election has been.
With a disastrous outcome for the Liberals, the results have stumped media commentators and political pundits alike. What’s more, the nailbiter is not yet through—our own backyard is still left on a razor’s edge. Bradfield’s candidates Gisele Kapterian and Nicolette Boele are separated but by a handful of votes. We will have to wait a while longer before knowing who reigns supreme.
Not to forget, our publisher Tina Brown delivered a formidable campaign that knocked Berowra into a marginal seat. Tina, powering through media slander and political mud-slinging, performed wonderfully and her efforts are nothing short of inspiring.
But onto other matters, we have some exciting announcements littered throughout this edition, from new ventures to old favourites.
Inside, we spoke to some charities doing great work in our communities, covered Asquith High School’s co-ed transition, the North Sydney 87% rate hike, Ku-ring-gai and their TOD kerfuffle, and feature an article about a young man living it big, while also somehow doing it cheap.
A congratulations is in order for our Mother’s Day giveaway winners! You’ll be receiving your prizes soon. Look out for future giveaway, there are many more to come!
Until the next edition,
