ON Friday, June 14, 2024, comedy enthusiasts in Sydney’s northern Suburbs and beyond are in for a treat as The Forest Hotel presents a star-studded comedy event.

Hosted by local Meals on Wheels provider, The Village Chef, the event will be both a fundraiser as well as an opportunity for them to give back to their volunteers. Says General Manager, Alex Kane, “Our volunteers are absolutely wonderful and we couldn’t do what we do without them. They turn up every day and deliver a range of our fresh, tasty and nutritious meals to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Loneliness is an epidemic that is particularly prevalent amongst the elderly and for many of our clients, that interaction they have with our volunteers is the only meaningful connection they will have with another person that day. We are always looking at ways to give back to our volunteers so, when the folks at Comedy for a Cause suggested putting on this event, we thought it was ideal”.

The comedy extravaganza will take place at The Forest Hotel, located at 5 Frenchs Forest Road, East Frenchs Forest.  Doors will open at 6:30 pm, and the show will commence at 7:30 pm.  Please note that this event is strictly for individuals aged 18 and above.

Tickets are priced at $35, and volunteers can attend for free by registering at www.comedyforacause.net/TVC
