Community Bank Lindfield Returns Record $670K

Launch of th Safe Place Appeal

Key Takeaways

  • Historic Milestone: Community Bank Lindfield returned a record-breaking $670,000 to local charities and organisations in the 2025/26 financial year.
  • Safe Place Appeal: A co-designed initiative with the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter raised over $328,000 to secure a second safe house for women escaping domestic violence.
  • Empowering the Local Precinct: Over $251,000 in Great BIG Community Grants was distributed to 21 local organisations, funding crucial infrastructure for local pillars like Studio ARTES and Meals on Wheels.

The 2025/26 financial year has drawn to a close, and it has been a record-breaking year for Community Bank Lindfield.

As a Community Bank, our success is measured not only by our financial performance but by the difference we make in the community we serve. This year, we achieved our biggest year ever in terms of returning profits to the community, committing more than $670,000 to local charities, community groups and organisations.

Helping Women Find Safety

One of the year’s most significant milestones was our partnership with Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter through the Safe Place Appeal. We co-designed a fundraising campaign that matched community donations dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000. Together with the community, we raised more than $328,000 to help the shelter purchase a second property – a safe place for women and children escaping domestic violence.

Grants That Make a Difference

Through our Great BIG Community Grants program, $251,000 was shared among 21 local organisations. The grants backed a wide range of projects, from a new accessible kitchen at Studio ARTES to equipment upgrades and mental health initiatives. These investments help local organisations keep doing the work they do every day.

We also provided a $52,000 grant to The Village Chef by Meals on Wheels to purchase a new packing machine. For the many older residents who rely on this service for nutritious meals and a friendly face, that investment is vital.

Sport, Respect and Community Spirit

We funded the RESPECT Program through the Northern Suburbs Football Association, which promotes respectful behaviour among players, coaches and spectators. How we treat each other on the sideline matters just as much as what happens on the field.

Showing Up Beyond the Branch

Volunteering at The Dish of St John’s

Community support isn’t only about funding. Our staff and directors volunteer their time at The Dish at St John’s, supporting people experiencing hardship. They also attend local events, fundraisers, sporting fixtures and community celebrations throughout the year.

Inside our branch, we’ve transformed a large wall into a community art gallery in partnership with Studio ARTES, showcasing works by local artists. The pieces are available for purchase and bring life to the branch while giving artists a place to exhibit and sell their work.

Community Pitch: Generosity in Action

Community Pitch remains one of our most anticipated events of the year. At our August 2025 event, $89,500 was distributed to ten local charities, thanks to 34 Pitch Partners who included local businesses, organisations and individuals who backed causes they believe in. We’re looking forward to hosting Community Pitch 2026 on Tuesday 25 August, and we’re planning to make it even bigger.

Banking That Gives Back

This is what the Community Bank model is all about. Unlike traditional banks, our profits are reinvested locally. Every customer who banks with us helps create this impact – and the more people who join us, the more we can give back through grants, sponsorships and community programs.

If you’re looking for a bank with genuine local service and a real commitment to this community, come in and have a chat. We’d love to help.

Thank you to our customers, shareholders, staff, volunteers and community partners. This record-breaking year is because of you.
