Last Friday 29 August, a ground-breaking ceremony was held to mark the start of construction on the new Warringah Golf and Community Club clubhouse, located at the Warringah Recreation Centre.
The clubhouse, positioned adjacent to the front nine holes of the golf course, will feature modern amenities including dining facilities, event spaces, a golfing Pro Shop, and office administration areas.
Fully funded by the club, the new clubhouse will provide a welcoming space for the local community, golf club members, recreational golfers, tennis and squash players, as well as sporting groups from across the wider precinct.
In his address at the ceremony, Club President Scott Campbell thanked the community:
“I would like to thank our members and staff for their patience and support in achieving this goal. I would also like to acknowledge the support over the past five years from the councillors and staff of Northern Beaches Council,” Campbell said.
“They have worked with us to achieve our vision, ensuring the clubhouse will serve not only golfers but also the wider sporting and local community.”
Prime Projects, a construction firm renowned for delivering high-quality developments, has been contracted to build the clubhouse.
The project is expected to be completed within 10 to 12 months.
