Ku-ring-gai School Holiday Guide: Top Autumn Activities for Kids and Teens

Ku-ring-gai Council has unveiled a jam-packed Autumn school holiday program, offering everything from high-energy sports to creative masterclasses. Whether your child is a budding artist, a nature detective, or a gaming enthusiast, there is something across our region to suit every interest.

Get Creative at the Art Centre

The Ku-ring-gai Art Centre in Roseville is hosting a vibrant array of workshops starting April 8. Highlights include “Pet Portraits” and “Beasts and Creatures” for the younger ones (ages 5-9), while teens can dive into “Wheel Throwing” or “Pop Art” sessions. For those who can’t choose, the “Creative Explorers” all-day art sessions on April 9 and 15 offer a bit of everything.

Adventure in the Wild

For kids who prefer the great outdoors, the Wildflower Garden in St Ives is the place to be. From April 7, children aged 6–12 can learn vital survival skills, encounter local wildlife, or join “Dinosaur Adventures.” For the aspiring scientist, the “Junior Ecologist” and “Junior Keeper” programs on April 16 provide an immersive look at our local environment.

Library Fun & Junior Golf

Our local libraries are transforming into hubs of activity with Dungeons & Dragons sessions for both kids and teens across Gordon, Turramurra, St Ives, and Lindfield. Don’t miss the “Lego Spike” coding workshop at St Ives on April 17! Meanwhile, active youngsters can hit the greens with the Active Ku-ring-gai Kids golf program, offering beginner and intermediate clinics throughout the holidays.

Visit the Ku-ring-gai Council website for more details.
