Australia Post is calling on community groups across New South Wales to apply for its 2026 Community Grants Program, offering up to $10,000 for grassroots projects that strengthen mental wellbeing and social connection.
This year, Australia Post has also ringfenced an additional $250,000 specifically to help communities recover, reconnect, and build long-term resilience following natural disasters.
Last year, 31 grassroots organisations across NSW shared in over $250,000 of funding—including 16 groups supporting disaster-impacted areas. Since launching in 2019, the national program has awarded more than 530 grants.
Australia Post General Manager of Community Engagement, Nicky Tracey, said local organizations are the driving force behind community recovery.
“With local knowledge and trusted relationships, they understand where support is needed most,” Ms Tracey said. “Through Community Grants, Australia Post is continuing to back community-led projects that create stronger social connections, support mental wellbeing, and help communities move forward.”
