In November we celebrate men.
International Men’s Day is on the 19th of this month, and this edition reflects our great respect for the men in our community.
This edition features stories about Movember, the fundraiser bringing attention to men’s health issues, Men’s Kitchen, a community group for older gentlemen to learn new skills in the kitchen, and Remembrance Day, honouring those who died in the line of duty.
It is a privilege to stand on a cultural foundation made possible by the hard work of great men, and I have the utmost respect for those who sacrificed in order for us to enjoy our freedoms. Our men deserve our appreciation, year-round and always.
It was great to be invited as guest speaker with Warrawee Probus Club recently as they celebrated their 40th Anniversary at The Warrawee Club. It was a perfect day for a celebration with stunning weather, great people and wonderful food!
I am looking forward to the Melbourne Cup, as I do each year. I am pleased to be attending the Epping Club to indulge in their deluxe seafood buffet and watch beautiful Thoroughbreds fly across the racecourse.
Summer is upon us and the warmer weather is a welcome reminder of the holiday season fast approaching.
