THE Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave is this March 2025.

One of the most iconic fundraising initiatives across the country, the Leukaemia Foundation encourages Aussies to not take their hair so seriously, and either cut it, dye it, or buzz it off to support blood cancer research.

Over 150,000 families are currently dealing with the realities of blood cancer. Each day, 17 Australians lose their lives.

Before March has even started, the World’s Greatest Shave has already raised over $1,000,000, with over 3,000 participants.

Tiffany Chan works in the North Shore area, and after shaving her head in 2021, has once again taken the clippers to her beloved hair for the World’s Greatest Shave 2025.

‘The first time it was a bucket list item. Now I’ve had a few friends of mine go through chemo, and last year I had a friend pass away from a cancer. So I wanted to shave it again,’ explains Tiffany.

In 2021, Tiffany raised over $4,000, and for 2025 has managed to raise another $2,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. Funds go towards the mission of zero lives lost to blood cancer by 2035. This is achieved through breakthrough research projects to discover better treatments and diagnostic strategies.  On top of that, funds help provide information to cancer patients, their families, and carers to lighten the load and keep them informed throughout their battle.

‘Other people should definitely participate… you don’t have to shave your head, there are other ways. It’s a great way to show support and bring more awareness to the foundation,’ says Tiffany.
