For many men, opening up about their health goes against the stigma that vulnerability is a sign of weakness.

Movember was created to challenge this mindset and address the men’s health crisis. Since its founding in 2003, the movement has grown from 30 participants into a global community of over six million supporters.

Over two decades, Movember has funded more than 1,320 projects worldwide, advancing research, improving health services, and changing perceptions of men’s wellbeing.

Focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer, Movember continues to drive awareness, advocacy, and action, helping men live healthier, longer lives while reshaping how society approaches men’s health.

Overall, Movember aims to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives.

Its focus on mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer has improved early detection, treatment, and support. Movember has sparked global awareness, encouraged open conversations, and helped men live healthier, longer lives.

Carlos, who has been a ‘Mo Bro’ for over 10 years said that Movember means a lot to him for the sense of what it means as a whole.

“It means family, support, friends, mates and it has made me understand how important it is to be vulnerable,” he said.

“When I tell people my story, I think it makes them realise how important it is to be that and to also reach out too.”

Movember is a strong reminder of how important it is for men to reach out and seek help for health, and its only just the beginning.
