In June, the Northern Sydney Wellbeing Collaborative officially launched.
Over 100 locals from government, private, philanthropic, and university sectors gathered in Cammeray to christen the new community-led initiative.
The goal of the Wellbeing Collaborative Charter is to transform the way health and wellbeing are supported across the region.
Operating through a place-based approach, the Collaborative utilises community voices to shape the solutions. The Collaborative brings together service providers, community organisations, and people with lived experience to co-create and implement solutions for the community’s needs.
Northern Sydney Wellbeing Collaborative believe that through developing prevention-based healthcare services, the health span-lifespan gap can close, that it will slow down the demand for hospital beds, for emergency departments, and residential aged care services, it will improve the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of Northern Sydney locals, and help boost communities and economies.
The Collaborative invites community members, healthcare providers, and local leaders to connect with the initiative to help shape the future of Northern Sydney healthcare.
