A new 24-hour veterinary hospital is about to be unveiled on the Northern Beaches.

Northside Emergency Veterinary Service (NEVS) and The Pet Specialists (TPS) are opening the new hospital on the 2nd of June, located in Terrey Hills.

Together, NEVS and TPS are hosting an Open Day, and inviting the community to a behind-the-scenes look at the advanced facilities and services the hospital has to offer.

‘Our new facility has been purpose-built to provide exceptional care for pets around the clock,’ says Dr Eugene Buffa, Specialist Surgeon at The Pet Specialist. ‘We look forward to showing the community the impressive features that set us apart.’

The Open Day is a free, family and pet friendly event. During the event, attendees will have guided tours of the surgery suites, imaging areas, and intensive care unit, while meeting the experienced veterinary teams. Attendees can partake in pet first aid workshops to gain knowledge on pet emergencies and have opportunities to ask questions to professionals.

Food trucks and sausage sizzles will be available, charity raffle with prizes such as zoo passes, and a bouncy castle and face painting for children. An official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held with VIP guest Johanna Griggs.

‘We are passionate about promoting the health and happiness of pets, and our new hospital reflects our dedication to providing the highest standard of veterinary care,’ says Dr Heather Russell, Veterinarian at NEVS.

The new hospital will include veterinary services including emergency and critical care, specialist surgery, and avian and exotic care and rehabilitation. Both NEVS and TPS encourage local veterinarians to refer patients who may need specialist or emergency care.

The Open Day event will be held on the 2nd of June between 9.30AM and 1PM at 16 Myoora Road, Terrey Hills.
