Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web has come to the Zenith Theatre Chatswood.
Produced by Pymble Players Inc., one of the city’s most successful community theatre associations, the organisation has recently the Zenith Theatre as their new home and will be presenting three productions a year.
From the 4th to the 12th of July, audiences are invited to watch Christie’s second most successful play, Spider’s Web about Clarissa, the wife of a diplomat, who discovers a murdered body in her drawing room. Before the arrival home of her husband, Clarissa must dispose of the body with the help of her guests.
Spider’s Web first premiered in London’s West End theatre in 1954 and has since become a fan-favourite.
‘Spiders Web… is one of my favourite plays. It has everything I love in a Christie; murder, intrigue, hidden identities – _and, of course, a few twists,’ says Georgia Drewe, director of this production of Spider’s Web.
With a Diploma of Film and Theatre Acting from the Sydney Theatre School, Georgia has several directorial projects under her belt, two of which were Short & Sweet Sydney finalists.
Pymble Player’s Spider’s Web is in arrangement with ORIGIN Theatrical on Behalf of Samuel French A Concord Theatricals Company and supported by Willoughby City Council.
