Lane Cove is set to mark International Women’s Day 2026 with a vibrant program of events celebrating this year’s theme, “Balance the Scales”.
The local program brings together art, sport, music, and culture, highlighting women’s achievements.
Festivities began on 25 February with Women of Strength and Honour: Being, Belonging and Becoming at Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios. The exhibition features Indigenous women artists from Australia, Latin America, India and Fiji.
The Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 matches will be screening live at The Canopy from 4 March across multiple dates.
The International Women’s Day Canopy Concert on 7 March is a “Girl Power” 90s and 00s tribute honouring iconic women in music.
On 8 March, Dyinalyung Yana Muru: Women’s Walk will see participants join Karen from the Aboriginal Heritage Office for a guided bushwalk along the Lane Cove River, sharing stories and cultural knowledge.
Professional development and leadership are featured, with a Small Business Networking Event on 11 March and an International Women’s Day talk by Magistrate Debrah Maher at Lane Cove Library on 12 March.
