    Local martial arts school Black Belt Martial Arts Hornsby is inviting local families to step onto the mats and experience traditional martial arts for themselves at its biggest community event of 2026.

    The BBMA Hornsby Open Day, being held on Saturday 10 October, will transform the Hornsby dojo into a full day of free martial arts experiences, demonstrations, challenges and activities for children, teenagers and adults.

    Visitors will be able to try short introductory classes, watch demonstrations from BBMA's senior students, break a real martial arts board, test themselves against a black belt, try self-defence skills and take part in a range of fun activities.
