Older residents across Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby are being encouraged to get active, creative, and connected this March with packed programs for the NSW Seniors Festival.

In Ku-ring-gai, the Seniors Festival returns with a calendar of events for residents aged 60 and over. Delivered by Ku-ring-gai Council in partnership with local community organisations, the program spans dancing, art therapy, gardening workshops, historical tours, computer skills sessions and health and wellbeing activities.

‘It is a great opportunity to meet new people, build new connections and try new experiences,’ Mayor Kay said.

dementia-friendly art therapy session at Lindfield Seniors Centre, a beginner’s guide to artificial intelligence in Turramurra, and Twilight Jazz at Eryldene Historic House and Garden on 15 March.

Meanwhile in Hornsby Shire, Council is presenting a schedule of free events under this year’s theme, “Live life in colour”. The program focuses on positive ageing, wellbeing and community connection.
