I absolutely fell in love with the beautiful curation of Dr Seuss limited prints at the Harvey Gallery in Seaforth.
The incredible collection of Dr Seuss limited edition prints was a wonderful reminder not only of my own childhood, but also of reading these beloved stories to my children when they were younger.
A heartfelt thank you to Skii Harvey, who gave my personal artist Steve Panozzo and me a private tour before the official opening—such a special experience.
Everyone has a favourite—whether it’s The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who!, or the ever-popular Green Eggs and Ham—and I honestly love them all. While Dr Seuss wrote over forty-four beloved children’s books, I was surprised to discover that he also maintained a secret art collection of private works, many of which are now available to view at the gallery. These pieces reveal a more personal and experimental side of the artist, blending surrealism, humour, and his unmistakable visual style.
It’s clear to me that Dr Seuss was well ahead of his time. If you haven’t read The Lorax recently, it’s worth revisiting. Its message feels as relevant today as ever: “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
That simple yet profound line captures a timeless truth about ensuring that greed never overtakes our respect for nature.
The Harvey Gallery’s exhibition is a celebration not only of Dr Seuss’s artistic genius but of his imagination, kindness, and care for the world around us. For fans old and new, it’s an uplifting journey and an experience not to be missed.
