I may be biased, but September is my favourite month of the year, partially because it’s my birthday month, but mostly because I feel like we have shaken off the dreariness of winter.
Another birthday, arguably more important than my own, is The Post’s. We hit half a decade in age! To celebrate, we’ve put together some anniversary pages, looking back on our time in the community—our humble beginnings, our hardest hitting stories, and all the wonderful connections we have made with charities, local businesses, and the lovely individuals who call the North Shore home.
For our dads, it’s also Father’s Day! So, a big hurray to the dads in our community. Congratulations to all our giveaway winners, we hope you enjoy the gifts. We were blown away by the number of entries!
For the regular edition, we have another stacked line-up, including the addition of a new columnist, the Deputy Mayor for Hornsby Shire, Janelle McIntosh. You’ll find her first column inside.
We spoke to Transitional Community Housing, included stories on the Hornsby Quarry, the education sector, the continuing sage with North Sydney and a rate hike, another food review and another book review, and the finalists for the Westfield Hornsby Local Heroes campaign.
Until the next edition,
Claudia
